Acoustic Panels
Acoustic panels are sound absorbing panels placed on walls or ceilings to control sound, reduce echo, eliminate reverberation and filter noise in a room. The objective is to enhance the properties of sound by improving sound quality with sound absorbing panels. Acoustic panels reduce, but does not entirely eliminate, resonance within the room.
Most rooms suffer from poor acoustics
Sound bounces off hard surfaces - like glass, brick, and hardwood flooring - creating echoes. These echoes in turn bounce off other surfaces, many times, building up a mess of sound known as reverberation. Echoes and reverberation interfere with the normal sounds in a room, making it difficult to hear conversation and music.
Hard reflective surfaces are the main trouble-makers: windows, bare walls, exposed flooring, glass furniture. A typical meeting room with a wall of windows on one side and a whiteboard on the other is practically an echo chamber.
Theatres, offices, boardrooms, community centres, and restaurants can be made more pleasant and comfortable with the addition of acoustic panels.
Acoustic Panels
While many audio solutions feature echo canceling and autofocus technology, they can still struggle to overcome the effects of a meeting room filled with hard surfaces. Acoustic panels help mitigate the negative effects hard surfaces have on the noise levels in your environment all while fitting in (and even enhancing) the aesthetics of any space.
